Cinderella/Cinderfella Day:

An annual back-to-school event for approximately 35 of the most needy Club kids.  For this treat, Club teachers choose girls and boys who have shown faithful participation in Sonshine Club and are entering middle school.  These young people are treated to a shopping spree for a flattering new outfit, underwear and cool shoes.  The girls have a volunteer who accompanies them as they get a new haircut and style, appropriate makeup and manicure and then they all devour pizza from the buffet. The day ends with a celebration cake and a picture of the student wearing their new outfit as they are sent home with a new supply-laden backpack.
