Who We Are...

Seventeen years ago we became sadly aware of the physical and spiritual needs of the children around us. In response, we started the Bible Clubs, (now called Sonshine Clubs ) as an after-school activity. We are now in more than 41 public schools! And so excited about the future!

We're in nine districts with our after school clubs and we have many more schools on our waiting list! We truly believe that the key to continued growth is volunteers . Since our beginning the Lord has shown us the enormous needs of not only the children, but their families also needing love, care and  Biblical teaching.

Haven Events

The Haven has had a tremendous effect on the community, from ministering to the mom's of our Sonshine Kids to getting kids ready for their first day of school. Food drives, and toy drives help us bring joy around the holidays to our Haven families. During the summer our activities include Camp and Padre Games. All with the intent to develop relationships and share God's love.

Our Board

Probably the most influential element to the Haven is our board. These seven professionals contribute time, energy, accountability, financial resources  and perspective to every decision at Sonshine Haven.
