LIFE SKILLS CLASSES

Summer/School Vacations 2009 -Life Skills

How wonderful to provide learning and memories to 120 children, 3 days a week, for 6 weeks. God not only provided funds through the San Diego Foundation but also many volunteers from all walks of life.

Haven staff and these volunteers worked tirelessly and enthusiastically. The children learned new skills in cooking, sewing, computers, basketball, art, nature, dance, cheerleading, guitar playing, fire safety, first aid, and civil war awareness.  We all sharpened our skills of cooperation, flexibility, and patience!

In our Bible classes we learned how God wants us  to trade our anger for   peace,  resentment for forgiveness, doubt for faith, and fear for trust. We have future Life Skills planned and would love to have you on our team of volunteers.
