Volunteer Opportunities:

   

Sonshine Haven has many different volunteer opportunities to choose from!

Each position has a different level of commitment & time involved. We have an application process all of our volunteers participate in and we would be happy to answer any questions and give you more detailed information.

Club teachers and assistants: We currently have 6 schools waiting for a teaching team to commit and start the weekly clubs! We also have other clubs at various schools that still need another helper or 2. Clubs meet after school, 1 day a week, for 1 to 2 hours. If you have an afternoon available, I’m sure we can fit your schedule.

Life Skills:  We teach Life Skills classes during the school vacations. Classes are taught in Sewing, Cooking, Computers, Art and Music. They are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am – 3:00pm.

Mom’s Night Out: Once a month, usually on the last Tuesday evening. We provide dinner and dessert for approx. 40 ladies. Also give away prizes and other appropriate donations we’ve received. The ladies also have worship time and hear an inspiring message. SO…we need help providing and preparing food, set up and clean up, and donations of prizes. We are also looking for women with musical gifts and of course speakers.

Dad’s Night Out:  Due to the recent renewed interest we will be starting a monthly night back up for the guys!

Cinderella/fella day & Camp send off: 2 more events that need dependable volunteers to be successful!

And last, but not least, we can always find something that needs to be done at the office. Things like envelope stuffing and mail outs to cupboard cleaning and sorting!
